Paul Walker replaces Tim Olyphant as Hitman?

February 6th, 2013 by Marc Comments

While the Hitman movie wasn’t really great, we do have a soft spot for Tim Olyphant here at FTN.

With the original movie making just about $100 worldwide, we figured the franchise was dead in the water, but no-one can keep a good franchise down. But now it seems Fox are preparing, six years later, to bring Hitman’s Agent 47 back to the screen in a movie called, em, Agent 47?

We can only assume the lack of Hitman in the title is to distance it from director Xavier Gens’ movie which starred Tim Olyphant (below) as the titular character. However, for the reboot it looks like Fast & Furious actor Paul Walker (above) is set to get the head shaved for the role.

Apparently Walker is almost set to go and the movie will be written by Skip Woods (who wrote the first movie and A Good Day To Die Hard) and directed by TV commercial director Aleksander Bach

The movie goes into production on June 24th and there’s no sign of a release date yet.

Marc is a self-confessed nerd. Ever since seeing Star Wars for the first time around 1979 he’s been an unapologetic fan of the Wars and still believes, with Clone Wars and now Underworld, we are yet to see the best Star Wars. He’s a dad of two who now doesn’t have the time (or money) to collect the amount of toys, comics, movies and books he once did, much to the relief of his long-suffering wife. In the real world he’s a graphic designer. He started Following the Nerd because he was tired of searching a million sites every day for all the best news that he loves and decided to create one place where you can go to get the whole lot. Secretly he longs to be sitting in the cockpit of his YT-1300 Corellian Transport ship with his co-pilot Chewie, roaming the universe, waiting for his next big adventure, but feels just at home watching cartoons with his kids….
