Great news from the world of Scream as it looks like the fifth movie in the franchise is about to get going.
At the minute the movie is set to begin filming in May (providing that damn virus is gone by then) and the good news is that Matt Bettinelli-Olpin and Tyler Gillett, directors of the really rather superb Ready Or Not, will be at the helm with original series writer Kevin Williamson on producing details.
The plot will apparently follow a woman returning to her home which is in the grip of a serial killer. While it’s unknown if this is a sequel or reboot, I see no reason why the franchise can’t stand in the same universe while telling a completely new story, a copycat killer, if you will.
So, whose on for a new Scream movie? Let me know…
