Did you love Wonder Woman? Well we hope part of that was the Amazons because we’re not done with them yet… in fact, we’re going to see them again this year!

Actress Robin Wright has confirmed that her character, Amazonian General Antiope, will be back for Justice League along with, obviously Gal Gadot as Wonder Woman and Connie Nielsen as Queen Hippolyta.

In a recent interview with the Los Angeles Times Nielsen . Wright and Gadot twere talking about their familial relationship and Gadot revealed: “The mother and daughter relationship is always a beautiful but complex relationship. I think that there’s a lot more to explore.

Nielsen added: “[Wright and I] got to do more in Justice League as well. As sisters as well. Kind of badass as well. We can’t say much, but …”

In Wonder Woman we saw Neilsen and Wright’s characters fighting in an ancient battle and we know that somewhere in Justice League we will see an ancient battle taking place as glimpsed in the trailer (here) so we’re betting we will see the Amazons, led by Hippolyta and Antiope, go against Darkseid’s forces in a battle that took place a looooooong time ago.

What say you all?

Justice League stars Ben Affleck as Batman, Henry Cavill as Superman, Amy Adams as Lois Lane, Gal Gadot as Wonder Woman, Jason Momoa as Aquaman, Ezra Miller as The Flash, Ray Fisher as Cyborg, Willem Dafoe as Vulko, Jesse Eisenberg as Lex Luthor, Jeremy Irons as Alfred Pennyworth, Diane Lane as Martha Kent, Connie Nielsen as Queen Hippolyta and J. K. Simmons as Commissioner Gordon.

It arrives this November

Ever since seeing Star Wars for the first time around 1979 he’s been an unapologetic fan of the Wars and still believes, with Clone Wars and now Underworld, we are yet to see the best Star Wars. He’s a dad of two who now doesn’t have the time (or money) to collect the amount of toys, comics, movies and books he once did, much to the relief of his long-suffering wife. In the real world he’s a graphic designer. He started Following the Nerd because he was tired of searching a million sites every day for all the best news that he loves and decided to create one place where you can go to get the whole lot. Secretly he longs to be sitting in the cockpit of his YT-1300 Corellian Transport ship with his co-pilot Chewie, roaming the universe, waiting for his next big adventure, but feels just at home watching cartoons with his kids….
