Ok, so this is a rumour and must be treated as one… but we reckon there might be something to it.
A tweet from Wayne Enterprises has suggested that Charles Dance and Colin Farrell are being sought for Justice League and Dance may be in line to play Steppenwolf. Now this Twitter account, while not official, certainly seems to be close to the production of the DC Cinematic Universe.

We think this could be a great bit of casting as Dance can command the sort of presence that a big bad like Steppenwolf, general in Darkseid’s army, would need.
But what about Farrell?
Well, there was a rumour a while back that Farrell was Warners’ choice to play none other than John Constantine (here) and we’re still very much on board with that idea.
We would love to see Constantine in Justice League as it would open the door to so many other DC worlds and possibilities and it might make sense that Constantine could offer something in the fight against Steppenwolf… perhaps dark magic is something that he can’t fight? Who knows…
What do you all think?
“Justice League” has a November 17, 2017 release directed by Zack Snyder starring Ben Affleck as Batman, Henry Cavill as Superman, Gal Gadot as Wonder Woman, Jason Momoa as Aquaman, Ezra Miller as The Flash, Ray Fisher as Cyborg and J.K. Simmons as Commissioner Gordon.
