RUMOUR: Has Warners/DC found their live-action big screen Batgirl?

May 7th, 2018 by Marc Comments

With the Batgirl movie having gone through a fair big of drama when Joss Whedon left, it seems that we may finally be closer to seeing it happen on the big screen as a new rumour suggests an actress may be very close to nabbing the role.

It seems that The CW’s The 100 star Lindsay Morgan could be on for playing Batgirl/Barbera Gordon according to a fan site (tweet below).

The actress has recently been tweeting about a ‘new project’ along with sharing Batgirl news articles on Twitter, so her name is on the fan radar already.

However, the Tweet (when translated by Google) reads: “NOW IT’S YOURS! Present at Convention Space Walkers 3 in Paris, Lindsey Morgan said she auditioned to play Batgirl in theaters and is waiting only for the producers”.

Now this certainly isn’t confirmation of any sort, but it could be confirmation that casting is ongoing and the movie is close to setting itself in motion – and Morgan is a solid actress and could certainly be a contender for the role.

Batgirl’s father, Commissioner Gordon, is already canon in the DC Cinematic, having been played by the awesome JK Simmons in Justice League, so it will be great to see the batfamily begin to truly flourish on the big screen.

What say you all?
