RUMOUR: Sarah Michelle Gellar set for Halloween Ends role?

January 29th, 2022 by Marc Comments

I must stress this is a rumour – a big rumour, true – but one that I’m reporting on because I really hope it’s true.

According to the Halloween movie rumour Twitter page Halloween Movie Source, below, Sarah Michelle Gellar is set to appear in the third movie in the new Halloween trilogy, Halloween Ends opposite original Halloween star Jamie Lee Curtis.

According to the rumour, she’s in negotiations with Blumhouse to appear in the movie which starts filming this week.

Gellar is best known as playing Buffy the Vampire Slayer in the iconic 90s show but she’s had quite the history as a bad-ass, having appeared in Scream 2 (she died quickly in that to subvert Buffy fans’ expectations), Scooby-Doo as Daphne and even playing the badass Seventh Sister in Star Wars Rebel, so having her fighting alongside Curtis’ Laurie Strode? Micheal may as well quit now because he has no chance of winning that.

As I said, there’s very little evidence of this yet, but it makes me happy to thing of this duo taking on Michael Myers… let’s just hope they make her more like Buffy and less like Cece in Scream.

Thoughts?

Marc is a self-confessed nerd. Ever since seeing Star Wars for the first time around 1979 he’s been an unapologetic fan of the Wars and still believes, with Clone Wars and now Underworld, we are yet to see the best Star Wars. He’s a dad of two who now doesn’t have the time (or money) to collect the amount of toys, comics, movies and books he once did, much to the relief of his long-suffering wife. In the real world he’s a graphic designer. He started Following the Nerd because he was tired of searching a million sites every day for all the best news that he loves and decided to create one place where you can go to get the whole lot. Secretly he longs to be sitting in the cockpit of his YT-1300 Corellian Transport ship with his co-pilot Chewie, roaming the universe, waiting for his next big adventure, but feels just at home watching cartoons with his kids….
