Second big rumour of the day following the news that Henry Cavill may be back as Superman (here) and this time it’s for another sort of hero.
Word is that after Daniel Craig hands in the Walter PPK and his license to kill after No Time To Die, The Dark Knight Rises and Inception star Tom Hardy will be stepping into the iconic role of James Bond 007.
Now, we have heard many names attached to this role from the like of Cillian Murphy, Idris Elba and even the aforementioned Cavill, but this new rumour – which seems to be gathering steam – has it that Hardy has beaten out all the competition to get the most famous number in cinema.
And apparently it’s been his since June when he auditioned for the gig.
It seems too – and this would make sense – that official announcing of his casting will be held back until after the new Bond movie hits cinema screens so as not to take away from Craig’s final performance in the role.
So what say you all? Is Hardy your choice for Bond? Had you someone else you’d rather see in the role? I want to know, guys.
Oh, and here’s the new poster for No Time To Die:
