SPOILERS: Dwayne Johnson just revealed the new team of heroes set for Hobbs & Shaw sequel

August 2nd, 2019 by Marc Comments

So, if you haven’t seen Hobbs & Shaw yet, the movie (here’s my review) has a couple of very cool cameos and this article his about those… so, if you’ve not seen it yet, you have been warned.

SPOILER WARNING!

So, the movie opened last night and Dwayne ‘The Rock’ Johnson took to Twitter to thank everyone for going and to enjoy the movie… but in the tweet (below) he wrote: “Enjoy the surprise cameos..because that’s a look at the future team”.

Now, if you’ve seen the movie you’ll know that at the beginning of the movie Ryan Reynolds pops up as CIA agent Locke, hired to give Hobbs his new mission… and who may have history with him. It’s a ver funny role and Reynolds does appear later in the movie a few times too. Of course, Reynolds worked with director David Leitch when he directed Deadpool 2.

Then later Kevin Hart – who is a famously great friend of Johnson’s – pops up as Dickley, an Air Marshal. He has a couple of really fun scenes in the movie and is a great asset to Hobbs and Shaw on their mission.

It’s also worth noting that Rob Delaney, wholesaled played Peter W in Deadpool 2 also appears briefly as another CIA agent.

So, if the team, moving forward is Dwayne Johnson, Jason Statham, Vanessa Kirby (as Hattie Shaw who more-or-less steals the movie), Ryan Reynolds, Kevin Hart and Rob Delaney, then this is going to be an immensely fun franchise to stick with.

Anyway, what say you all? Is this a team you could be excited for?
