OK, Star Wars: The Force Awakens spoilers of a sort lie ahead…

So, the three images (in one) below are rumoured to be characters from the new Star Wars movie reports SWU, and we’re very excited about, well, all of them.  Let’s go with them being real and take a look at what we’re seeing here…

First up… IT’S A TRAP! Admiral Ackbar is back! Yeah he is! Next up is Lando’s Falcon co-pilot from Return of the Jedi, Nien Nunb; how cool is that?!

And finally, further to our report last week, is Greg Gunberg’s Rebel Pilot character who wearing a similar outfit to Oscar Isacc’s Poe Dameron: “Grunberg’s character is named Gorwyn, and since he’s reportedly signed for three films [then] he will be the Wedge Antilles of the Sequel Trilogy, so to speak.” (Continues after pic)

In further Star Wars news, it seems that the two images below have been leaked from the movie and “It finally confirms, at least partially, what Domhnall Gleeson’s role will be in the film and also gives us a new look at Captain Phamsa(Gwendoline Christie). Gleeson is seen on the bridge of a First Order Star Destroyer alongside Phasma looking over a hologram of Finn. Making Star Wars claims that Gleeson’s character is named “The General.” Perhaps he’s giving Phasma her orders to track down our runaway Stormtrooper hero?”

Oh, and the other image has Rey(Daisy Ridley), Finn(John Boyega) and Han Solo(Harrison Ford) in the cockpit of the Millennium Falcon.

Excited yet?

Marc is a self-confessed nerd. Ever since seeing Star Wars for the first time around 1979 he’s been an unapologetic fan of the Wars and still believes, with Clone Wars and now Underworld, we are yet to see the best Star Wars. He’s a dad of two who now doesn’t have the time (or money) to collect the amount of toys, comics, movies and books he once did, much to the relief of his long-suffering wife. In the real world he’s a graphic designer. He started Following the Nerd because he was tired of searching a million sites every day for all the best news that he loves and decided to create one place where you can go to get the whole lot. Secretly he longs to be sitting in the cockpit of his YT-1300 Corellian Transport ship with his co-pilot Chewie, roaming the universe, waiting for his next big adventure, but feels just at home watching cartoons with his kids….
