Man, if you thought the last Rambo movie was controversial, get ready for Rockygate!

Star Sylvester Stallone has revealed that he is making a director’s cut version of Rocky IV for it’s 35th anniversary (I remember seeing it in the cinema! Man I feel old).

Taking to Instagram, the star wrote: “For the 35th anniversary Rocky 4 Is getting a new DIRECTORS cut by me”.

However, no sooner had the news broke than fans jumped on to Stallone’s social media, begging him to make sure Paulie’s robot – the full scene is at the bottom of the post – makes the final cut. But the news they got back wasn’t what they hoped!

Sico, the mechanical maid owned by Rocky’s brother-in-law Paulie Pennino (Burt Young), was a brief part of the original theatrical release and fans hoped tht perhaps it was set for bigger things in the new cut but Stallone onformed them: “The robot is going to the junkyard forever. No more robot.”

In another response, he added: “I don’t like the robot anymore.”

Oof! For fans of Sico, it seems.

Still, he may be kidding. He’s not kidding.

Marc is a self-confessed nerd. Ever since seeing Star Wars for the first time around 1979 he’s been an unapologetic fan of the Wars and still believes, with Clone Wars and now Underworld, we are yet to see the best Star Wars. He’s a dad of two who now doesn’t have the time (or money) to collect the amount of toys, comics, movies and books he once did, much to the relief of his long-suffering wife. In the real world he’s a graphic designer. He started Following the Nerd because he was tired of searching a million sites every day for all the best news that he loves and decided to create one place where you can go to get the whole lot. Secretly he longs to be sitting in the cockpit of his YT-1300 Corellian Transport ship with his co-pilot Chewie, roaming the universe, waiting for his next big adventure, but feels just at home watching cartoons with his kids….
