We’ve caught a glance of the new Star Destroyers in the Star Wars The Force Awakens trailer (above) and now we’re hearing that one of them has a name meant to strike pure fear into the enemies of The First Order.
Star Wars 7 News are reporting that they got their hands on a new book called Star Wars: Ships of the Galaxy which has detailed plans of the new Star Destroyer (below).
This is notable for two reasons; firstly, a big design flaw has been fixed… remember when the A-wing smashed into the bridge in the Battle of Endor in Return of the Jedi, ending the life of Piett and his crew? Well, that won’t happen again as the bridge is now sunk into the ship itself. Which seems much safer.
Also, the name of the ship? well, it’s Finalizer. Presumably because ‘White Hot Death Raining From Above’ was taken, huh?
Like many of the Star Destroyers in Star War, we’re guessing the name of the ship will never be heard on screen… but it’s nice to know, right?
Star Wars: Ships of the Galaxy hits bookstores on September 4th.
