Well, we already know that John Wick Chapter 4 has been doing really well at the box office and despite having a reasonably conclusive ending, it looks like we will be seeing Mr Wick again… at least if the studio has its way.
Speaking on the success of the movie, Lionsgate Motion Picture Group Chair Joe Drake believes that never say never is the thought of the day.
SPOILERS
In the movie it seems that John Wick, played by Keanu Reeves, has finally found peace in death, having finally done what he set out to do, although it’s left a little open-ended (if you’ve seen it, you know) but many fans, myself included, felt that this was the ending John deserved and was always heading towards.

Loads of new details drop about John Wick TV series The Continental
“We’re not ready to say goodbye to Keanu with this franchise. It’s what alternative there will be,” Drake says.
“There’s a lot of different things that we can do. I’ve seen this movie five times in the last week, I can see the way that the audience loves him.”
Producer Erica Lee adds that they are hopeful that spinoff movie Ballerina will get a sequel as well as another Wick movie and reveals that another spinoff is in development and will be revealed soon: “There is another film that we’re developing that I think we’ll be announcing in the next, say, month or two. Then, I’m hopeful there’s a Ballerina 2 and John Wick 5, and lots of other things. But we’re developing a lot of stuff and having a lot of discussions with a lot of writers and brand management and Wick universe is my utmost priority.”
My money would be on the next spinoff focusing on Rina Sawayama’s Akira and Donnie Yen’s Caine or the best new character in John Wick 4, Tracker played by Shamier Anderson.
Ana DeArmas’ Ballerina will fight Keanu Reeves’ John Wick in spin-off movie
Lee reveals that it’s Akira and Laurence Fishburne’s Bowery King that she wants to see developed: “The world of the Bowery King and the Bowery is something that we’re really interested in exploring more of. He sort of runs the underground, and it’s such an interesting world. How does he get the guns and the boats? He shows up everywhere. He’s the leader; he has homeless running the streets and information through pigeons. He’s low-tech and analog in a digital world, and he knows everyone and gets everywhere. I think that is something that’s really interesting to explore.”
I would love to see Fishburne get his own series of movies set in the John Wick world – never too much Fishburne – and I’d love to see it being less frantic gunfights and action and being something that feels different but absolutely the same reality.
“The character of Akira really pops in the movie, and I’d love to sort of see some further adventures with her character. There’s a lot! There’s a lot of characters in John Wick 4, and a lot of fan favorites from movies of the past. There’s definitely a lot of stuff we want to dig deeper into,” Lee adds.
Man, it looks like Lionsgate are REALLY hoping to develop the world of John Wick… and who can honestly blame them? Thoughts?
