Despite saying after the first Creed movie that Rocky’s story had come to an end, it seems that there’s a big second round coming.
Speaking about the progress on the Creed sequel, writer (and star) Sylvester Stallone dropped a very interesting little tidbit… it seems Rocky and Ivan Drago may be facing off again!
Fans of the series will recall that Drago – played by Dolph Lungren – killed Apollo Creed (Carl Weathers) in Rocky IV and now the rumour is that Drago’s son will face off against Adonis Creed (Michael B Jordan), giving the sons of the two original fighters a chance to face off against each other.
However, Stallone has said: “You know I gotta hit Drago once.”
Yes, Sly, we do know it!
So, while we don’t think the two old enemies will get into the ring together, we do reckon that, given the past they have, the two characters will meet and things won’t go smoothly.
Either way, we’re looking forward to it…
