It looks like the Metal Gear Solid movie has just moved one step closer to happening.
Sony Pictures Entertainment as signed Jay Basu up to write the screenplay for the film adaptation of Hideo Kojima’s Metal Gear Solid video game.
Basu co-wrote Monsters: Dark Continent and is currently helping Universal with their shared monster universe but is still relatively unknown.
The movie will be produced by Avi and Ari Arad, and will be directed by Jordan Vogt-Roberts, director of The Kings of Summer.
That’s all we got, folks… but hey, isn’t it cool that this is probably happening? Yeah, we think so too…
