We LOVED The Nice Guys. Seriously. Loved it. And one of the things we loved most in it was the superb performance of fifteen-year-old Australian Angourie Rice.
Her character was, arguably, the only one in control during the whole movie and she was smart, funny and completely believable opposite Ryan Gosling and Russell Crowe and now she’s part of the MCU.
Yes, she’s joined the cast of Spider-man: Homecoming.
Now, while Marvel/Disney are keeping the role she’s playing under Rice’s age and appearance, the rumour mill has her as, yes you guessed it, Gwen Stacey.
Now, we’re not saying she’s not – in fact in the image above, we can completely see her being Stacey – but we reckon it’s a case of ‘oh, she’s blonde, she must be Gwen’. Then again, she’s blonde, she might just be…
Anyway, she’s a damn fine young actress and no matter her role, we’re looking forward to her being in the movie. And yes, we sort of hope she’s Gwen, ok?

Tom Holland is starring as Peter Parker/Spider-Man in a story that will bring Spidey back to his high school beginnings.
Also on board are Tony Revolori, who starred opposite Ralph Fiennes in The Grand Budapest Hotel, Robert Downey Jr. as Iron Man and Michael Keaton rumoured to be playing Vulture, the film’s main villain.
