Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles star William Fichtner has joined the cast of the Independence Day sequel.
The actor, who’s a big favourite of FTN’s, will play a “Top Colonel” in the sic-fi sequel.
Interestingly, it is being rumoured that the movie, which was always tipped to be the first in a pair of sequels, may now be the first in a new trilogy.

Judd Hirsch, Bill Pullman, Jeff Goldblum, Vivica A. Fox, Jessie A. Usher, Liam Hemsworth, and Charolette Gainsbourg star in the alien fighting sequel. It’s directed by Rolan Emmerich and co-written by Dean Devlin, the creators of the first movie.
Independence Day 2 invades on June 24th, 2016.
