The Legendary monsters universe that began with Godzilla and will continue with Kong: Skull Island has just moved closer to making its third chapter a thing with the appointment of a very fun director!
Yes, Variety has confirmed that Krampus writers Michael Dougherty and Zach Shields will be penning the sequel and not only that, Dougherty will also direct the monster sequel too.
Word on the street is that Legendary have been trying to get him onboard to direct for a while.
Dougherty also wrote and directed Trick R Treat for Legendary so his connection them is already established.
Both his horror outings so far have been big on fun so it should be interesting to see what he does with Godzilla.
