Two more big names join The Little Mermaid live-action remake

July 17th, 2019 by Marc Comments

It looks like we have two more cast members for Disney’s live-action Little Mermaid remake.

So far in Rob Marshall’s movie we’ll have Halle Bailey as Ariel and Melissa McCarthy as the evil Ursula and now we have Harry Styles as Pince Eric and Javier Bardem is close to signing on to play King Triton joining Jacob Tremblay as Flounder and Awkwafina as Scuttle.

Styles, the former One Direction singer made an impressive debut in Christopher Nolan’s superb Dunkirk movie, so don’t rule him out just because of his music career. This would also seem to point towards the fact that this movie will likely be a full-out musical and Eric will have songs to sing in this version, unlike his 2D counterpart.

Bardem brings an unquestionable bit of class to the movie with his roles in No Country For Old Men and Mother standing him out from the crowd as an actor at the top of his game.

The movie will begin filming early next year.
