US top ten box office countdown (WE 12th January 2014)

Frozen’s reign at the top of the chart has finally come to a end, however this is not down to a new entry but down to a film that has shot up from last week’s number 36, the film in question is Peter Berg’s (Battleship) new action thriller Lone Survivor starring Mark Whalberg.

Only one new film went into this week’s chart and that was the first outing for Hercules this year in The Legend of Hercules, which went in at number four.

New Releases – Four new films will be trying to wrestle Lone Survivor off the top spot on next week’s chart and they are horror film Devil’s Due, animated film The Nut Job, new thriller starring Chris Pine Jack Ryan: Shadow Recruit and your final film of choice is Ride Along.
