Vin Diesel promises fourth Riddick movie ‘closer than you think’

September 27th, 2021 by Marc Comments

We reported a few weeks back (here) that we may not be too far away from more Riddick video games and the fourth movie in the sci-fi saga, Furiosa, is also coming.

And now star Diesel has taken to social media (below), saying Furiosa “may be closer than you think”.

Which is good news for fans of Diesel’s unique anti-hero.

First appearing as Riddick in Pitch Black in 2000, Diesel has worked with writer/creator David Twothy on The Cronicles of Riddick (2004) and Riddick in 2013 and now the duo are reuniting for the fourth outing of Richard B Riddick.

The fourth movie, as we already knew, was to be called Riddick: Furya and it seems that’s still the case, with Twothy having finished the script and filming getting ready to go.

“David Twohy, he wrote a great script. It’s just a matter of timing when we get that opportunity to shoot that,” Diesel says.

“But I believe we’re shooting that in Australia. And it would be the fourth chapter in that series, which would be awesome.”

Are you excited for more Riddick adventures? I know we here at FTN HQ are…

Secretly he longs to be sitting in the cockpit of his YT-1300 Corellian Transport ship with his co-pilot Chewie, roaming the universe, waiting for his next big adventure, but feels just at home watching cartoons with his kids….
