Sony Pictures Brazil have just teased The Sinister Six. We think.
The post (below) on their Facebook page is a simple silhouette of Vulture’s wings and Doc Ock’s tentacles with the words “Temos Planos Pra Voce… #homemaranha” which translates into “We Have Plans For You…. #Spider-man”…
Now, we know that the Sinister Six movie was originally slated to be released in November 2016, but with all the news lately (here) that Spider-man is returning to Marvel to appear in the MCU, plus the underperformance of Amazing Spider-man 2, we thought – as did many – that this movie, along with all Spider-man movies at Sony, was dead in the water.
Throw in the rumours the Andrew Garfield is now out of the picture(s) and we have to say, this is potentially a mess.
Is this Sony’s way of giving Marvel the fingers and announcing that Spider-man is staying in the web he has spun with them?
We expect there’ll be more news related to this coming soon…
