WATCH: Annie Potts returns as Janine for Quickbooks ads and confirms role in Ghostbusters: Afterlife

December 27th, 2019 by Marc Comments

With us just being days away from 2020, the year of Ghostbusters: Afterlife, it’s no surprise that we are on the verge of getting loads of new promotions, materials etc.

And today we have the best thing ever… Annie Potts back in the Firehouse as Ghostbusters secretary Janine Melnitz for new ads for Quickbooks accountancy software.

Janine was, of course, The Ghostbusters’ secretary in the original 1984 movie, the sequel and the animated series, so having her back is as important to the fans as any of the other original cast.

Potts isn’t alone in the ad either as Slimer appears too. And it’s all fantastic!

But I cannot lie, with Potts back in the Firehouse, which looks perfectly screen accurate here, I’m wondering if perhaps this is actually the set of the HQ from Afterlife?

Whatever it is, having Janice back is something of a dream come through for us fans.

On top of the awesomeness below, while we have known for sometime that Janice was back for the third movie, the actress herself recently confirmed it on The Kelly Clarkson Show (below), in which she says: “I haven’t seen anything yet [from the movie], but we have completed it and I think it’s going to be fabulous!”
