WATCH: Birds of Prey movie trailer leaks (in Russian) as do hi-res images from it…

September 1st, 2019 by Marc Comments

It looks like the new Birds of Prey teaser trailer was leaked yesterday… in Russian.

Sadly, it keeps getting taken down when posted but, while I don’t speak Russian, the trailer begins with the DC logo then a load of red balloons floating through the sky with the music from IT playing over the background (it’s attached to IT Chapter 2, I believe) then from nowhere Margot Robbie’s Harley Quinn appears and swings her hammer through them, bursting them and saying: “F#@k these clowns!” – a clear nod to her now ex-boyfriend, The Joker.

Then, it quickly goes through a montage of images (see below) featuring Robbie as Harley, Mary Elizabeth Winstead and Jurnee Smollett-Bell as Huntress and Black Canary and Ewan McGregor as Black Mask.

You can watch a low quality version of the trailer here.

The trailer looks like a spiritual sequel to David Ayer’s Suicide Squad movie while also looking unlike anything we’ve seen from DC – or any other comic movie – so far. It looks loud, crazy and frantic… but this is only a brief teaser, so we’re still a long way off from getting a real feel for the movie yet.

Here’s the high res images from the trailer for you to pour over… are those Harley’s hyenas in the background behind Robbie, top right? I’d rather fancy it is.

And heres’ a few more:

Birds of Prey (And The Fantabulous Emancipation of One Harley Quinn) stars Margot Robbie as Harley Quinn, Mary Elizabeth Winstead and Jurnee Smollett-Bell as Huntress and Black Canary, Rosie Perez as Renee Montoya, Ella Jay Basco as Cassandra Cain and Ewan McGregor as the villain of the piece, Black Mask

Birds of Prey (And The Fantabulous Emancipation of One Harley Quinn) swoops in on February 7th, 2020
