Deadpool’s glorious promotional campaign continued in fine form on Sunday night, as Ryan Reynolds’ anti-superhero embraced the series premiere of The X-Files revival with a series of tweets.

In the run-up to the premiere of the X-Files revival series on Sunday night, the Merc with a Mouth turned to Twitter to get involved in the excitement, write Squareeyed.

Weapon X-Files,” he tweeted. “Scientists fit Wade Wilson with adamantium genitals. Coming (never) to Fox.”

This was quickly followed by another update, in which Deadpool can be seen lurking in the woods and listening out for something alongside the caption: “The Merc is Out There.” We want to believe!

Deadpool’s X-Files-themed reign of tweeting then culminated in a quick new teaser promoting the film, introduced with the phrase: “Just because you’re paranoid doesn’t mean they’re not out to get you, Wilson.“

Early screenings of the film were met with overwhelming approval last week in New York and L.A, instantly ramping up the excitement even more so.

We’ll have to wait until February 12 to get our dose of the Merc though. In the meantime, have another trailer…
