October 13th, 2017 by Marc Comments

Everyone’s favourite bear is back in just four weeks as Paddington 2 prepares to arrive on our screens!

Look, we loved the first one, ok? And we make no apologies, so if they can create that magic twice then we’re all in!

Check out the new poster above and international trailer below.

Cool? Cool.

The much-anticipated sequel to the worldwide hit family film finds Paddington happily settled with the Brown family in Windsor Gardens, where he has become a popular member of the community, spreading joy and marmalade wherever he goes. While searching for the perfect present for his beloved Aunt Lucy’s 100th birthday, Paddington spots a unique pop-up book in Mr. Gruber’s antique shop, and embarks upon a series of odd jobs to buy it. But when the book is stolen, it’s up to Paddington and the Browns to unmask the thief…

A Heyday Films and STUDIOCANAL production, Paddington’s return to the big screen is helmed by BAFTA nominated director Paul King (PADDINGTON, COME FLY WITH ME, THE MIGHTY BOOSH) written by Paul King and Simon Farnaby (PADDINGTON, YONDERLAND and MINDHORN).

Paddington 2 is produced by multi award-winning David Heyman (producer of all eight of the HARRY POTTER films, GRAVITY, THE BOY IN THE STRIPED PYJAMAS, FANTASTIC BEASTS AND WHERE TO FIND THEM).

PADDINGTON 2’s all-star cast is led by Hugh Bonneville, Sally Hawkins, Julie Walters, Jim Broadbent, Hugh Grant, Peter Capaldi, Brendan Gleeson, Madeleine Harris & Samuel Joslin, with Ben Whishaw as the voice of Paddington, Imelda Staunton as the voice of Aunt Lucy and Michael Gambon as the voice of Uncle Pastuzo.

Also joining in Paddington’s new big screen adventure is a first class supporting line up:  Dame Eileen Atkins, Richard Ayoade, Sanjeev Bhaskar , Tom Conti , Kobna Holdbrook-Smith , Jessica Hynes , Claire Keelan , Joanna Lumley , Ben Miller , Aaron Neil, Meera Syal , Noah Taylor

PADDINGTON 2 is released in UK cinemas on 10 November 2017

Marc is a self-confessed nerd. Ever since seeing Star Wars for the first time around 1979 he’s been an unapologetic fan of the Wars and still believes, with Clone Wars and now Underworld, we are yet to see the best Star Wars. He’s a dad of two who now doesn’t have the time (or money) to collect the amount of toys, comics, movies and books he once did, much to the relief of his long-suffering wife. In the real world he’s a graphic designer. He started Following the Nerd because he was tired of searching a million sites every day for all the best news that he loves and decided to create one place where you can go to get the whole lot. Secretly he longs to be sitting in the cockpit of his YT-1300 Corellian Transport ship with his co-pilot Chewie, roaming the universe, waiting for his next big adventure, but feels just at home watching cartoons with his kids….
