Scream 7 co-writer and director Kevin Williamson has just teased an eigth movie at a fan event in Paramount Pictures Studios in Los Angeles.

Speaking at the event, Williamson, who wrote Scream, Scream 2, and Scream 4, was asked about writing the kills in the movies and if there are any kills he hasn’t filmed that he wishes he had, so which he replied: “Yeah there is, there’s a couple that’ll be in the next one.”

While it’s not confirmation of an eighth movie, there’s been talk already that Scream 7 is the beginning of a new Scream trilogy that will wrap up the story of Neve Campbell’s Sidney Prescott, and there was even a rumour not too long ago that Scream 8 was already greenlit.

With Scream 7 predicted to hit well over $30m on its opening weekend in the US, it seems likely that Ghostface is not done killing yet.

Watch the clip:

When a new Ghostface killer emerges in the quiet town where Sidney Prescott (Neve Campbell) has built a new life, her darkest fears are realized as her daughter (Isabel May) becomes the next target.

Determined to protect her family, Sidney must face the horrors of her past to put an end to the bloodshed once and for all.
