WATCH: Marvel’s fun Halloween clip has Morbius telling us that ‘It’s Morbin’ time!’

Lol, wut?

Marvel just put out a very cool animated Halloween special featuring several of their best-known characters – all played by their Marvel Legends action-figure counterparts and they included a very knowing Morbius clip.

Morbius, as many of you will know, came out last year and starred Jared Leto as the titular (anti)hero and while the movie wasn’t as bad as many would make out, it did become something of a living, breathing (undead?), ever-evolving meme online.

Anyone who knows what this means will undoubtedly know the phrase ‘It’s Morni’ Time!’ which makes no sense in the context of the movie but after one movie-goer saw the movie and tweeted afterward: “best part of Morbius was when he said ‘IT’S MORBIN’ TIME’ and morbed all over those guys,” the phrase became synonymous with the movie and the two are forever interlocked now.

And Marvel are clearly aware of this because at the 34 secs mark, Morbius says the now immortal line.

It’s a fun wee nod to let the fans know that Marvel are aware of what’s happening with its characters… even the ones stuck over at Sony.

Also, that would be a WILD party!
