So it’s Aaron Paul’s first big post-Breaking Bad project, and it’s a video game movie. Based on the popular video games of the same title, in the movie Paul plays Toby Marshall, a man who joins a cross country car race to exact revenge on those who set him up to take the fall for a crime he didn’t commit. Yes, you read that right, we all know the best way to get at your enemies is to race them, sort of like in a dance competition movie, but with cars. Though the movie does seem to be a bit heavy on the Fast & Furious influence, of course how could any fast car race movie featuring import cars not garner that comparison, the makers of the film are stating it actually borrows from the popular 70’s car chase movies such as Bullitt.
