With Star Wars: The Last Jedi merely weeks away now, we’re in the final stretch now and with the story still well under wraps we’re alway sleeping our eyes and ears open (can you open your ears?) and tonight we have some cook stuff.
Ok, so first of all we have an international trailer and poster (above and below) that firmly puts the focus on the story of Daisy Ridley’s Rey.
Next, keeping with Rey, it seems that Kylo Ren himself, Adam Driver, may have given away some details about just who exactly Rey is in the grand scheme of things.
This is SPOILER territory folks so if you don’t want to know skip the next coupe of paragraphs:
Speaking to GQ Magazine, Driver said the following:
“I remember the initial conversations about having things ‘skinned’, peeling away layers to evolve into other people, and the person Kylo’s pretending to be on the outside is not who he is. He’s a vulnerable kid who doesn’t know where to put his energy, but when he puts his mask on, suddenly, he’s playing a role. J.J. had that idea initially and I think Rian took it to the next level [in The Last Jedi]. You have, also, the hidden identity of this princess who’s hiding who she really is so she can survive and Kylo Ren and her hiding behind these artifices.”
Wait, hold on… Rey is a princess?! If this is indeed true then we’d have to imagine that Rey is the daughter of Leia Organa-Solo. And if this is true, then she is the sister of Kylo Ren, or Ben Solo as he was originally named by his parents.
