While the Spider-verse comparisons are pretty obvious, it’s hard to argue that the new trailer for Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles: Mutant Mayhem doesn’t look like a lot of fun.
And with a cast that includes Micah Abbey, Shamon Brown Jr, Hannibal Buress, Rose Byrne, John Cena, Jackie Chan, Giancarlo Esposito, Paul Rudd and Maya Rudolph, it’s hard to argue that the voice talent isn’t there and the animation, well, it looks great!
So great that, not only have we a new trailer, but word is that Paramount is so excited about the movie, that they have already started developing a new TV series that will pick up where it leaves off.
The series, according to the rumours, is set for 2024 and this will be as well as the proposed – but not connected – TMNT animated series focusing on the best villains in the Turtles world; that series is still reportedly due sometime this year but there’s been very little news about that one.
And, if you’re not excited enough by this news, it seems the Mutant Mayhem movie will be scored by The Social Network and Watchmen’s Trent Reznor and Atticus Ross! That’s a reason to be excited on its own!
