Excited for Furiosa: A Mad Max Saga next weekend? Well, I have you covered!
Odeon Cinemas in the UK have just released a diesel-fuelled six minutes of the movie for your enjoyment and to get you stoked for the full experience in less than a week.
Interestingly, it has been revealed that star Taylor-Joy has less than 30 lines of dialogue in the movie, this is opposed to Tom Hardy as Max in Fury Road, who had 63 lines; on the lack of dialogue, director and creator George Miller said: “The problem with dialogue is that it tends to slow things down. Film is a medium often best enjoyed at high speed.”
While not true of all movies, obviously, it’s a great decision here as these movies don’t need quippy one-liners and jokes because Miller’s world and Max’s world, obviously, are one of minimal chat and maximum action and carnage.
Taylor-Joy stars in the title role, and along with Hemsworth, the film also stars Alyla Browne and Tom Burke.
Furiosa: A Mad Max Saga will be released in the UK on 24th May 2024.
