Could this footage be our first look at the Star Wars spin-off?
We’re not completely convinced though apparently a selected group of fans were treated to an advanced screening during Disney’s annual shareholder meeting, there’s speculation that we could be seeing this or something similar during the trailers for Batman v Superman.
The fact that it still says Star Wars Anthology make us believe’s it’s nonsense. But whoever did it, it’s nice work.
Speaking at the meeting, Disney CEO Bob Iger said: “It’s our first original standalone Star Wars story. It’s about a band of rebels who are plotting to steal the plans for the Death Star.”
Explaining to the shareholders the film is set “right before the events in the very first Star Wars movie,” Iger told the crowd “I can’t wait for you to see it; it’s in theaters this December.”
