There are few things that make me as happy recently as the second coming of Nicholas Cage.
The man was once a movie god and then he fell from grace, landing in the hell of direct-to-video movies but in recent years he’s returned making one gem after another – i mean, yeah they’re mostly insane rides, but that’s always where Cage has excelled and it’s where he’s having a ball for this new movie, Sympathy for the Devil.
Not a single piece of scenery is safe as he chews his way through the role of ‘the passenger’ who is making the life Joel Kinnaman’s ‘the driver’ an absolute hell. Is he the devil? Hard to know but honestly, when Cage is having this much fun, I’m along for the ride no matter what.
