WATCH: Trailer hits for Coming 2 America

December 22nd, 2020 by Marc Comments

So, we finally have the trailer for the sequel to Coming to America, the 1988 Eddie Murphy and Arsenio Hall comedy and it looks petty funny.

From the director of Dolemite, Craig Brewer, the movie reunites the entire cast of the original movie and it looks like it not only perfectly captures the tone of the original but it also has the feel of a movie made in the 80s… I mean, Murphy and Hall playing numerous characters?

Anyway, check out the trailer below and let me know what you all think.

Set in the lush and royal country of Zamunda, newly-crowned King Akeem (Eddie Murphy) and his trusted confidante Semmi(Arsenio Hall) embark on an all-new hilarious adventure that has them traversing the globe from their great African nation to the borough of Queens, New York – where it all began.

Starring: Eddie Murphy, Arsenio Hall, Jermaine Fowler, Leslie Jones, Tracy Morgan, KiKi Layne, Shari Headley, with Wesley Snipes and James Earl Jones. Also starring John Amos, Teyana Taylor, Vanessa Bell Calloway, Paul Bates, Nomzamo Mbatha, Bella Murphy

Directed by: Craig Brewer

Available March 5th on Prime Video.

Marc is a self-confessed nerd. Ever since seeing Star Wars for the first time around 1979 he’s been an unapologetic fan of the Wars and still believes, with Clone Wars and now Underworld, we are yet to see the best Star Wars. He’s a dad of two who now doesn’t have the time (or money) to collect the amount of toys, comics, movies and books he once did, much to the relief of his long-suffering wife. In the real world he’s a graphic designer. He started Following the Nerd because he was tired of searching a million sites every day for all the best news that he loves and decided to create one place where you can go to get the whole lot. Secretly he longs to be sitting in the cockpit of his YT-1300 Corellian Transport ship with his co-pilot Chewie, roaming the universe, waiting for his next big adventure, but feels just at home watching cartoons with his kids….
