WATCH: Trailer lands for Once Upon A Deadpool with some bad news for UK younger fans

The trailer is here for Once Upon A Deadpool and it’s full of Christmas wonder!

Although, quick note, if you’re in the Uk like we are, then the ‘family friendly version’ is still ratesd 15 so… you can’t take the kids. Because, 15 is the same rating as Deadpool 2 was.

Sigh.

Guess we’re not taking the whole gang.

Once Upon a Deadpool will have a limited-Christmas-engagement, positioning it as a box-office play aimed at young teens on holiday break from school. The lion’s share of Once Upon Deadpool is footage from Deadpool 2 that has been edited to meet PG-13 thresholds of violence and language. There’s also new footage in the form of a framing sequence that was conceived by Deadpool star Ryan Reynolds and writers Rhett Reese and Paul Wernick. Working with a small film crew, Reynolds and his cohorts filmed all the framing scenes in a single hectic day of guerrilla-style filmmaking.

UPON A DEADPOOL arrives in UK cinemas – for one night only – on December 11th and December 16-14th in the US.

Marc is a self-confessed nerd. Ever since seeing Star Wars for the first time around 1979 he’s been an unapologetic fan of the Wars and still believes, with Clone Wars and now Underworld, we are yet to see the best Star Wars. He’s a dad of two who now doesn’t have the time (or money) to collect the amount of toys, comics, movies and books he once did, much to the relief of his long-suffering wife. In the real world he’s a graphic designer. He started Following the Nerd because he was tired of searching a million sites every day for all the best news that he loves and decided to create one place where you can go to get the whole lot. Secretly he longs to be sitting in the cockpit of his YT-1300 Corellian Transport ship with his co-pilot Chewie, roaming the universe, waiting for his next big adventure, but feels just at home watching cartoons with his kids….
