We got two new character posters for the upcoming Blade Runner sequel, Blade Runner 2014 yesterday along with the announcement of a Q&A on Twitter this monday, but now we have word that a trailer is due on monday too.

Anyone who was raised in the 1980s will know how important Blade Runner was to the generation who loved Star Wars, Big Trouble In Little China, Ghostbusters and all the other movies that formed who we are today.

Now we have two new teasers for the trailer featuring footage from Blade Runner 2049 (below) and we know we’re going to be pacing the floors until it hits.

Are you excited? Well stay tuned to FTN for all the latest news

Thirty years after the events of the first film, a new blade runner, LAPD Officer K (Ryan Gosling), unearths a long-buried secret that has the potential to plunge what’s left of society into chaos.  K’s discovery leads him on a quest to find Rick Deckard (Harrison Ford), a former LAPD blade runner who has been missing for 30 years.

The film also stars Ana de Armas, Robin Wright, Jared Leto, Barkhad Abdi, Lennie James, Mackenzie Davis, and Sylvia Hoeks.

Marc is a self-confessed nerd. Ever since seeing Star Wars for the first time around 1979 he’s been an unapologetic fan of the Wars and still believes, with Clone Wars and now Underworld, we are yet to see the best Star Wars. He’s a dad of two who now doesn’t have the time (or money) to collect the amount of toys, comics, movies and books he once did, much to the relief of his long-suffering wife. In the real world he’s a graphic designer. He started Following the Nerd because he was tired of searching a million sites every day for all the best news that he loves and decided to create one place where you can go to get the whole lot. Secretly he longs to be sitting in the cockpit of his YT-1300 Corellian Transport ship with his co-pilot Chewie, roaming the universe, waiting for his next big adventure, but feels just at home watching cartoons with his kids….
