Will Smith says there’s ‘been talks’ about a Deadshot standalone movie…

September 26th, 2018 by Marc Comments

With the DC movie slate ramping ups again with Aquaman, Wonder Woman 2, Joker, Shazam!, Birds of Prey, Flash, The Batman and more on the horizon, we were wondering if we’d have to wait until Suicide Squad 2 to see Deadshot again – after all, Harley will be in Birds of Prey and it’s a safe bet Capt Boomerang will be in the Flash movie.

But it seems that we may see Deadshot outside of SS2.

Answering fan questions on his YouTube channel, star Will Smith was asked if he’d like to do a Deadshot standalone movie and not only would he, it seems that there’s been some talk of it actually happening!

“I hope so. I love playing Deadshot. I really enjoyed that character. They’ve been talking about it. So if a good idea comes around, we’ve been having meetings. But I would love to. I love Deadshot.”

Hmmmm… we’ve been having meetings?

We’re wondering what sort of meetings, exactly?

Could we see Deadshot in his own movie? Or maybe in The Batman? Birds of Prey? Smith is a pretty big deal in Hollywood so the idea of him filming cameos and bits parts seems unlikely, so outside of frontline Suicide Squad 2, we’d have to image he’d be in his own movie.

Let us know what you all think, gang.
