Wonder Woman 1984 gets new release date due to, well, you know why…

March 30th, 2020 by Marc Comments

Well, not exactly unexpected, but it seems that, thanks to that damned virus, Wonder Woman 1984 has been pushed back.

While there were lots of rumours last week that the movie would be heading to steaming (Warners quickly shot that down), we knew it wouldn’t happen and instead it seems that after this f#@king nightmare is over, we all get to head to the cinema to see Patty Jenkins’ and Gal Gadot’s movie.

So when will we see it? Well, it’s officially been pushed back from June 5th to August 14th.

All being well, by that time the world will be returning to its former state and we can all look forward to going to see our favourite DC woman kick ass on the biggest screen possible. I don’t know about you all, but I can’t wait already.

Gal Gadot broke the news on her Twitter, writing: In these dark and scary times, I am looking forward to a brighter future ahead. Where we can share the power of cinema together again. Excited to redate our WW84 film to August 14, 2020. I hope everyone is safe. Sending my love to you all. ❤️

Will we see you all there? I hope so… stay safe, you lot.

Oh, and here’s a better look at that very cool motion poster:

Marc is a self-confessed nerd. Ever since seeing Star Wars for the first time around 1979 he’s been an unapologetic fan of the Wars and still believes, with Clone Wars and now Underworld, we are yet to see the best Star Wars. He’s a dad of two who now doesn’t have the time (or money) to collect the amount of toys, comics, movies and books he once did, much to the relief of his long-suffering wife. In the real world he’s a graphic designer. He started Following the Nerd because he was tired of searching a million sites every day for all the best news that he loves and decided to create one place where you can go to get the whole lot. Secretly he longs to be sitting in the cockpit of his YT-1300 Corellian Transport ship with his co-pilot Chewie, roaming the universe, waiting for his next big adventure, but feels just at home watching cartoons with his kids….
