Writer of Bill & Ted 3 shares some exciting details on events in the movie (should it happen)

Oooooh… could things really be heating up of the third Bill & Ted movie?! Excellent!

While it’s not exactly news that a third Bill & Ted movie has been talked about and set in motion in the past (here) with directors, scripts and even shooting dates being bounced around, but now writer of the first two, Ed Solomon, has been talking about the plan for the final chapter in this most excellent trilogy.

The movie, rumoured to be titled Bill & Ted Face The Music will see the duo as much older men, in a situation that they hadn’t foreseen: as not the saviours of the world. Solomon and currently working on the script with Chris Matheson and it sounds like it might go full Back To The Future II this time around: “There’s actually a scene–one of my favorite scenes in the whole movie–where middle-aged, 50-year-old Bill and Ted return to the Circle K and see their teen selves and Rufus, and actually interact with their teenage selves, played by their actual teenage selves,” says Solomon.

We reckon having seen a much younger Michael Douglas and Kurt Russell in the MCU that having a middle-aged Keanu Reeves and Alex Winter interact with themselves from the earlier movies is something that could be done convincingly.

But will we see a younger version of Rufus, the guide from the future in the first two movies played by the legendary comedian George Carlin? Well…  “There’s also a character in the movie named Kelly, which is George’s daughter’s name, who has a very significant role in the journey,” Solomon teased.

Seriously, it really doesn’t matter what the plan is, we want to see Bill S Preston Esq and Ted ‘Theodore’ Logan back on the big screen really badly… just, please, make this happen.
