It looks like Deadpool and Cable fans have an exciting time ahead…
The Martian and Daredevil scribe Drew Goddard has signed on to write the X-Force movie for 20th Centrury Fox along with Deadpool star Ryan Reynolds and Lauren Shuler Donner producing.
The movie will focus on a Black Ops team who are separate from the X-Men and will feature Reynolds as Deadpool and Josh Brolin as Cable. We’ll see Brolin in the role in Deadpool 2 next year.
In addition to this, X-Men fans will be glad to hear that reports indicate that filming has wrapped on David Leitch’s Deadpool 2 and also Josh Boone’s New Mutants movie; both are scheduled for release on April 13th and June 1st next year, respectively. We’ll get a third movie in the franchise, X-men: Dark Phoenix, directed by Simon Kinberg, on November 2nd.
