Yahya Abdul-Mateen II nabs lead in Matrix 4

October 9th, 2019 by Marc Comments

Has the fourth movie in The Matrix series found its young Morpheus?

For quite sometime now we’ve been hearing that the next Matrix movie wouldn’t feature Laurence Fishburne in the iconic role, but rather would see a younger actor play the role.

And just now we learn that Aquaman star Yahya Abdul-Mateen II has nabbed the lead role in the movie (Micheal B Jordan was previously rumoured up for the gig).

Apparently director Lana Wachowski had been meeting with actors for the secret role to join retuning Keanu Reeves and Carrie-Anne Moss as Neo and Trinity.

And that’s all we know.

Yahya Abdul-Mateen II is a great actor and, I could definitely see him as a young Morpheus… but I’d still rather see Fishburne back, but this is all speculation at the minute.

Let me know your thoughts, guys…
