With the recent news that Mark Hamill may not be keen on returning as a Force Ghost for Star Wars: Episode IX, we’re wondering of there’ll still be a mentor figure for Rey… that’s providing she still has anything to learn about the Force because, let’s honest, she seems to know it all already, amiright?
But, it seems that, even before the Hamill news, another Jedi master may have been lined up… albeit another dead one.
Yes, Yoda might be set for another appearance after his surprise return in The Last Jedi according to NY Daily News.
According to the age-old stable of a ‘source close to the production’ on the JJ Abrams movie: “The success of the scenes featuring Yoda in The Last Jedi were huge.
“Yoda will again appear as a ghost as he acknowledges Rey’s success and growth as a Jedi. The scenes are due to be put together later this year.”
It is expected that, as always, Yoda will be control – Yoda is a puppet, we know it’s hard to accept – by Frank Oz.
So what do you all think? More Yoda in Star Wars? Or has our little green friend over stayed his welcome? Let us know in all the usual ways, guys….
Episode IX is set to arrive in cinemas on December 20th, 2019 directed by JJ Abrams and starring Daisy Ridley as Rey, John Boyega as Finn, Adam Driver as Kylo Ren and Oscar Isaac as Poe Dameron and more to be announced.
