It’s not as if it’s been a big secret that a Zombieland sequel was coming (follow the progress so far here) but tonight it’s officially official.
Emma Stone, Woody Harrelson, Jesse Eisenberg, and Abigail Breslin and director Ruben Fleischer are all back at Sony for the zombie sequel. Original writers Paul Wernick and Rhett Reese are back too.
Yay!
In Zombieland 2, through comic mayhem that stretches from the White House and through the heartland, the Zombie slayers must face off against many new kinds of zombies that have evolved since the first movie, as well as some new human survivors. But most of all, they have to face the growing pains of their own snarky, makeshift family.
The movie is set to begin in January with a October 2019 release date… Zombies at Halloween! Works for us.
