The Beetlejuice Musical is coming very soon

Beetlejuice, Beetlejuice, BeetleJuice…

Shake, shake, shake, Senora, shake your body line
Shake, shake, shake, Senora, shake it all the time
Work, work, work, Senora, work your body line
Work, work, work, Senora, work it all the time
(Jump in the line, rock your body in time) OK, I believe you!
(Jump in the line, rock your body in time) OK, I believe you!
(Jump in the line, rock your body in time) OK, I believe you!
(Jump in the line, rock your body in time) Whoa!

If you didn’t sing this in a vaguely racist accent you need to go and re-watch Beetlejuice again, then you need to grad your copy of the Hand Book for the Recently Deceased and get your dead butt over to New York, find a ticket scalper who doesn’t just have a handful of Hamilton tickets going for $3,000,000 for the cheap seats and see if he can get you front and centre at the new BeetleJuice Musical because the official launch is on the horizon.

BeetleJuice will premiere in the National Theatre in Washington DC in late October before heading to Broadway.

Based on the Tim Burton movie and directed by Alex Timbers, this take on the story will be (in typical Broadway fashion) “ruder, rauncher and frankly more repellent,” according to the show’s official website.

Will this cross the Atlantic and come to the UK? Probably.

Will it ever come to Ireland? Maybe.

Will it ever be shown in Belfast? Aye, in 2025 if we’re lucky and the Opera House can afford it.
