San Diego Comic Con 2021: Official Star Wars poster has Luke Skywalker helping Grogu build his lightsaber…

July 24th, 2021 by Marc Comments

With this year’s Comic Con being a smaller affair than most years, what with that damned virus and all, it would have been easy to forget it was even happening… but this poster has sent it out to the universe with a blast.

The poster, above, called Size Matters Not is by artist Russell Walks and has been officially endorsed by Lucasfilm, so it’s official… is this Gorgu’s lightsaber? Will it have a yellow blade? Can we please have a series with Luke gathering the potential Jedi across the galaxy, Disney/Lucasfilm? Please?

Anyway, the poster is available, if you live in the USA from Shoptrends (here) while SDCC is on, so get yours ordered now (I live in the UK and can’t get it – I’m actually quite upset).

Anyway, is this a hint at what we’re to see at some point in the future? Might we get more of this sort of goodness over this weekend? We can but hope.

Marc is a self-confessed nerd. Ever since seeing Star Wars for the first time around 1979 he’s been an unapologetic fan of the Wars and still believes, with Clone Wars and now Underworld, we are yet to see the best Star Wars. He’s a dad of two who now doesn’t have the time (or money) to collect the amount of toys, comics, movies and books he once did, much to the relief of his long-suffering wife. In the real world he’s a graphic designer. He started Following the Nerd because he was tired of searching a million sites every day for all the best news that he loves and decided to create one place where you can go to get the whole lot. Secretly he longs to be sitting in the cockpit of his YT-1300 Corellian Transport ship with his co-pilot Chewie, roaming the universe, waiting for his next big adventure, but feels just at home watching cartoons with his kids….
