A poster, first look at season 2, new character and a release date? Big day for fans of Amazon Prime’s The Boys series.

Amazon Prime Video has set The Boys season 2 premiere date for this September, but there’s slightly bad news about the release compared to season one.

Season two will premiere the first three episodes on September 4th and will then drop a new  episode every Friday until October 9th – season one all dropped at once, so it seems this year we have to wait a while to get the whole season.

On top of this, we have our first look at the second season:

And, if that’s not enough, why not meet Stormfront, the newest member of The Seven, at the same time as the rest of the team… looks like she and Homelander are going to get along just fine!

Actress Aya Cash will play Stromfront in Season 2 of The Boys and it sounds like her villainous streak will be as bloody as Homelander’s: “In the age of social media we have a whole new group of celebrities, you have Vine stars, you have TikTokers, you have YouTubers.

“There’s this whole group of people who are very successful on the internet and she is definitely one of those so her stardom comes from social media and her ability to navigate that and to use that,” Cash says of Stormfront.

“Stormfront is a new member of The Seven and she is a new villain. I would say she is on par if not worse than Homelander.”

Checkout the full interview with her below:

Season 2 finds the Boys — Hughie (Quaid), Mother’s Milk (Laz Alonso), Frenchie (Tomer Capon), and Kimiko/the Female (Karen Fukuhara) — on the run from the law with Billie (Urban) nowhere to be found. He’s been occupied by the surprise revelation that his wife isn’t dead after all and she’s been in hiding with her son, conceived when Homelander (Starr) assaulted her. Speaking of the Supes in the Seven, Starlight (Moriarty) now has to navigate her place on the team after facing off against A Train (Jessie T. Usher). With the threat of new supervillains, which were caused when Homelander gave the Compound V to international terrorists, Vought seeks to capitalize on the nation’s growing paranoia.

Homelander is also now looking to take full control of the Seven, but a new Supe on the block, the social media-savvy, plasma-powered Stormfront (Aya Cash), complicates that goal.

The Boys premieres on Amazon Prime video on September 4th, 2020.
