With Agents of SHIELD becoming must watch TV by the end of season one and with the events of Captain America: The Winter Soldier blowing the whole idea of SHIELD wide open, to say that we’re excited about where season 2 could go is something of an understatement.
According to the guys at Den Of Geek, Jed and Joss Whedon have pitched to have characters from Avengers to guest star in season two of the show. They have said the characters will be well-renowned SHIELD agents already and since Agent Sitwell and Agent Blake have both been in it already, that seems to be hinting that Hawkeye/Clint Barton and Black Widow/Natasha Romanov may be lining up.
Could this be a good way to explain where Hawkeye was during The Winter Soldier, perhaps?
Also rumoured to appear is Peggy Carter’s daughter, Sharon, who featured heavily in The Winter Soldier. In a similar vein albeit reversed, Cinemablend have confirmed that Agents of SHIELD character Agent Antoine Triplett will appear in Avengers: Age of Ultron.
This is all pretty exciting and, if it all turns out to be true, it means that the Marvel Universe continues to grow with every episode and movie… now, can we get Tommy Lee Jones in Agent Carter, please?
