Get ready for the new daily show

Ahsoka series description seems to confirm everything we hoped

A new report has it that the Ahsoka series coming soon to Disney+ is exactly what we hoped it would.

After we saw the character finally appear in live-action in The Mandalorian season 2 chapter 13, The Jedi, played by Rosario Dawson, we had hopes that she may be picking up her story as we last left it on Star Wars: Rebels.

In that episode, we found out she was trying to find Grand Admiral Thrawn who we last saw disappear with Ahsoka’s friend and apprentice Jedi Ezra Bridger in Rebels, so obviously, this had us hoping she was still trying to find them both.

Then, once we had confirmation of the Ahsoka series (here), we had our clarification that that is indeed what she’s doing.

“Ahsoka Tano is on the hunt for the evil Grand Admiral Thrawn in the hope it will help her locate the missing Ezra Bridger, the young Jedi that disappeared with Thrawn many years ago.”

It’s interesting that the Ahsoka live-action series is a direct sequel to Rebels, given that that was an animated series and still probably unwatched by many Star Wars fans (I know a few that still don’t watch animated shows), but, at the end of the day, Star Wars is a big, connected universe, so it being connected makes absolute sense.

And, for the fans who devour all the Star Wars content, this is really exciting news (if true) as it’s a story we’ve wanted to be resolved since the series wrapped in 2018.

Let’s hope this one turns out to be true.

Marc is a self-confessed nerd. Ever since seeing Star Wars for the first time around 1979 he’s been an unapologetic fan of the Wars and still believes, with Clone Wars and now Underworld, we are yet to see the best Star Wars. He’s a dad of two who now doesn’t have the time (or money) to collect the amount of toys, comics, movies and books he once did, much to the relief of his long-suffering wife. In the real world he’s a graphic designer. He started Following the Nerd because he was tired of searching a million sites every day for all the best news that he loves and decided to create one place where you can go to get the whole lot. Secretly he longs to be sitting in the cockpit of his YT-1300 Corellian Transport ship with his co-pilot Chewie, roaming the universe, waiting for his next big adventure, but feels just at home watching cartoons with his kids….
