AMC have found their Charlie Manx and Vic McQueen for their NOS4A2 TV series

Oooooooh… AMC have found their Charlie Manx for their upcoming TV adaptation of Joe Hill’s superb NOS4A2.

Star Trek and American Horror Storie’s Zachary Qunito will play the lead villain in the show – an immortal who feeds on the should of children that he keeps in a creepy prison town in his twisted imagination called Christmasland.

And, rather excitingly, they have also cast the character of Vic McQueen a woman who for some reason can sense Manx and knows what he’s up to and sets out to find and stop him. Vic will be played by Ashleigh Cummings.

On top of this, the first two episodes will be directed by The Walking Dead’s Kari Skogland.

Hill is, of course, the son of  Stephen King and NOS4A2 is probably his most King-esque tale yet, in fact the book references The Dark Tower, It and other little nods to King’s universe so it’s pretty definite the books of father and son are linked – now with Castle Rock and the IT sequel coming, maybe it’s time to start admitting that, in some small way, it’s all connected.

The cast so far already includes Olafur Darri Olafsson (Lady Dynamite), Virginia Kull (The Looming Tower) and Ebon Moss-Bachrach (Punisher) and Jahkara Smith as Maggie Leigh. It was created by showrunner Jami O’Brien (Fear The Walking Dead, Hell On Wheels). It’s set for debut in 2019.

Olafsson will play Bing Partridge, a hard worker with a mysterious past and an impressionable mind. Kull is Linda McQueen, Vic’s tough, blue-collar mom determined to hold her family together and protect her daughter. Moss-Bachrach portrays Chris McQueen, Vic’s charming, blue-collar dad with a weakness for drink but a deep love for his daughter.
