Get ready for the new daily show

Andor Season 2 [and 3?] to film later this year… series was originally planned to be much longer, it seems

Good news for fans of Rogue One and Diego Luna’s Cassian Andor as we wait for Andor Season One as it seems there’s big plans for the show’s future and they could be set in motion pretty soon.

A new report has it that with season one expected to arrive on Disney+ in August, season two is set to go before cameras in November this year at London’s Elstree Studios and may not wrap until May 2025, a full 18 months later which has us thinking that they must be filming more than one season and would likely be filming the third season back-to-back with season 2.

We previously learned that the series was set to be three seasons altogether, so it would possibly make sense that they film the whole remained all at once.

However, it also seems that it may not always have been the case, with a much longer, five-season run planned.

Director of photography, Adriano Goldman, has revealed that Andor was originally meant to be five seasons:

While I’m terribly excited for this show as I believe it could show us a side of the Star Wars universe we’ve never really seen and Rogue One only hinted at is the dark side of the Rebellion and the underhanded and sinister things that sometimes needed doing to get the upper hand on the Empire,  I’m just glad it will be getting more than one season and it hopefully shows Disney’s confidence in Season one that they’re already backing season 2 and probably 3, starting in November.

Are you as excited for Andor as I am? Let me know, guys…
